Our Story

How it all started...

Your Venture Church began  when Rob and Jamie Dugan followed the desire that God put on their hearts  to start a church in the Pittsboro/Lizton area to serve the surrounding communities  of Hendricks County.
So with only $600 on May 18th of 2014 Venture Church was able to rent and hold  their first service in the Hendricks County Civic Theater in Maplewood, IN. (formerly the Maplewood Christian Church)
After quickly growing out of this space Venture Church  relocated  a couple times due to the growth of the church, one of the locations  being the local Tri- West High School auditorium.  During the 18 months of being a mobile church and moving in an out of the school, Venture secured a lawn mover factory that sits on 20 acres.  After many volunteers hard work and God's hand of blessing on the project Your Venture Church established their first permanent home location.

Expanding the vision...

We want to continue to reach the surrounding communities with the message of hope and good news to come that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

A Place That Doesn't Focus On Your Past
But Invests In Your Future

God does not focus on your past. He has a better plan for you.  All of us have a past that may have problems and involve some pain.  And some of the problems and pain that took place may have been out of your control. God didn't cause all bad things to happen, but He can bring some good things out of the bad.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.[b] The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17
